    Vibration 23 T

23 T with 327 and 350 trans. I'm getting a vibration at 30 to 40 mph. I replaced the trans mount and universal joints and it still vibrates. I noticed when I pulled the driveshaft the splined shaft on the trans has some play in it. Could this be the problem and what is the cure?

More than likely, that's your problem but, I don't know how to fix it.

Yeah it could be anything. First things I would try are the easiest things which are tire balancing (which is one of the biggest causes), alignment, worn bearings or ball joints or anything like that, etc. I don't have a T bucket or nothing so I can't say much but I am just telling you the most common problems which you probably already know.

It just started. I bought it used. It seems to be built right, although it has always ridden a little rough. It just seems to have more vibration than it used to. I'll get some pics tomorrow. Can the play be taken out of the splines from the trans? Is there a bearing or something back there?

Or...........while driving put it in neutral, if the vibration stops it's in the driveline, if not it's in the chassis
