    Question Exhaust Manifolds

Does anyone know whether exhaust manifolds need to be torqued?

Also, one of the screws is an extremely obscure type of 5/8 screw. I have found one of the same size, but not exactly the same thread. Does the threat need to match exactly?

Tinkers were itinerant workers who mended pots. Since tin was their primary work material the name originated from there. As an aside, they would usually come into town ringing a bell to attract attention, thus.......................tinker bell!

The damn part is a bit more elusive. Most likely it's that tinkers were a grumpy lot (thus Streets familiarity with the term ) and swore often, thus rendering their curse far too common to be worth paying attention to. I've heard another version of the use spelled dam, but it's not as much fun.

    Tinker correlation.

Knew about the connection to tin working but, as usual you made " the rest of the story" complete with the missing pieces. My morning now in order. Thanks Bob.

Signs of an older time here. "Mending pots, Tinker Bell and Tin as their primary work material" Who even uses tin for anything to eat off from anymore. I think theres a Slightly posionius material in tin
