which rearend for a 34 ford

I am just starting to build a 34 ford fordor into a daily driver, which rear end should I be looking for, How do I know which ones will fit with out shortening them? Is there a chart or a good web site on this subject?? I will probably put a sbc in it, Any help on this subject will be appreciated.

    Thanks Lou

You will need a 1971 to 1977 Ford maverick rear this is an 8 inch pumpkin and it is 56 1/2 wide, only 9 inch that will fit is the 57 Ranchero and you'll be hard pressed to find one... That 8 inch will hold up just fine and gears are available from Speedway..
