Just got a set of new mopar performance valve covers. I'm in the process of rounding up some grommets and a unibit to drill out the holes for the PCV valve, breather and oil fillcap. My stock valve covers have a bowtie looking hole for the twist on/off oil filler cap. Was just wondering if anyone had drilled a valve cover out and how they did the bowtie part .........................

you don't have to have the twist on cap. use the breather hole to add oil. after you get your grommet in place then the breather should pop in and out with no problem

I have the same valve covers but didn't have to do any drilling, they were already drilled out when I got them.

I use the Mopar twist on oil/breather cap, kills two birds with one stone and no problems. $7.99 most anywhere where they sell mopar supplies. It's not to unusual to see that being used along with a seperate push in breather, especially on high performance engines. I haven't done it yet but plan on it. Let me know how your drilling comes out.
