largest 2 barrel carb?
Some friends and I were talking about sizes of carbs and were wondering what the biggest 2 barrel carb made was. We came up with holly 500 cfm. Were there any bigger ones made?Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

Edelbrock makes a victor jr.sportsman 2v manifold good for up to 7000 rpm. or you could use the adapter for the 4bbl victor jr. and turn it on up there. I have heard of reworked 650 2bbls. flowing at over 800cfm.

The biggest one I could find was the Holley 500 . Center bowl and 50 c.c. accelerator pump. 0-4412C I've heard of smallblock's running 10 second quarter miles with these.

The biggest one we could find was 500 but like you say, Grant does modify them. Thanks all for the info.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
I tried rubber isolators between the frame and pump, but it made little difference. I don't mind spinning the motor over to refill the carb(s), it allows time to build oil pressure, jmho..
