BF Goodrich 285/70R-15 TA Radial.
Black on both sides - white letters are available.
8" tread width, 30" tall.
On a 10 x 15" wheel with 2 7/8" backspace.
BFG may still make their 31.50-15 LT (Light Truck tire), but the passenger car tire shown in the pic is what you want - unless you're running a truck.
The 31.50 is just about the same size as the 285 with measurements differing only by a small fraction.
The passenger tire is of lighter construction than the LT tire.
3 ply tread and 1 ply sidewall for the passenger tire.
7 ply tread and 3 ply sidewall for the truck tire.
I ran the LT tire on my 32 for a while, rode a little harsh, but not too bad - 12-15# pressure was right for it considering the weight of the car.
The passenger tire runs at 20# and rides very nice.C9
Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
How did you get hooked on cars?
