    how do i start im taking the stock 250 strait six and replacing it with a 350 small block

    Well first I would measure up the inside of your engine compartment. And then see what is different between the 2 motors that makes the swap easy or hard eg are the sumps in roughly the same position. What I mean by this is there clearance around the front crossmember and suspension/steering components.

    What are you putting in in? what trans do you have have?

    Sure someone will offer some advice but a bit more info would certianly help.

    the 350 is a direct drop in on a 84 chevy all you need are v8 block mounts

    alt bracket and a/c bracket are diffrent also

    just when i was thinkin all them chevy motors wuz innerchangenbul now u tell me it aint so. sorry guys i will try to control myself from here on. just being playful. seriously if u look at other stock trucls u can learn a lot about what works. and what dont. Ives rdhotfrd
