Like the '65 and '66 cars?

Looks great Stu. I like how you used a color combo like the original engines (black block, yellow valve covers). I was looking at doing something similar with my engine (6.0L).

    Talking Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the kind words on my work and ideas on the breather. I think I will look at it for a while before I decide what to do with it if anything.

Gasser, I appreciate purebreds as much as the next guy. In fact I even considered swapping a Studebaker engine back into this one. But after some thought I realized that with this car being as extensively modified as it is, that having a Studebaker motor would not add much if anything in terms of asthetics, performance or value. People have been swapping motors into these cars almost since their inception, remember the Studillacs? As for the SBC, even Studebaker thought putting those in a Studebaker was a good idea in the '60s. So, my conscience is clear.

Positively brilliant idea to do the yellow valve covers with the Studey logo.

Now, get a domed breather rather than that squared off looking one, and do it in black. Next, the air cleaner in black and black moulded rad hose and heater hoses. It'll complete "the theme". I like Mike's suggestion for a neat shape, and a possible "roddy" looking alternatie is the finned top aluminum repro of that shape that Bitchin' does, again painted black. Then do a Studey type marking on that in yellow, like the cubic inch and V8 emblem, or the Studey name again. Try it, you'll like it!

Yeah!! That one Denny put up would be a beaut!! And Vik's decal would be a great detail. It's a theme thing.

Outstanding, Mr. COOL; the "Stude" valve covers are a neat touch. Good luck at the show.

Big Block/Hemi/Belvedere Bob deserves credit for the valve cover idea and I think more folks than I can count offered suggestions on colors in general, much like the ideas for the air cleaner.

Thanks everyone and thanks Denny for the links and Viking for the sticker.

Gasser, no harm no foul. This one will be alive as long as I am!

By the way, for you Studebaker guys, the logo on my valve covers is available in vinyl, any color or size you might like. Email or PM me if you are interested.
