    What Ford rear is this???

     



    The tag on the rear reads:

    WDM-U 9HB

    70 8 7 302A

    WDM-U tells me it's a 8"....You have to use a wrench on the bottom two bolts, that's a 9"...It's a single ribbed case with no 'N'...Not a tapered axle housing.

    Is it an 8", 8.8", or 9"...And what years and models does it come from. I'd like to completely redo the brakes.

    Thanks guys for the quick response. Tech, that's the info I needed. Believe it or not, the Ford guys around my area couldn't answer that question, said their books don't go back that far.
