    Unhappy bumper repair

anyone know where they do bumper repair? I got a 1964Falcon wagon and the the front bumper has a decent dent.I fond northwest falcons, but I was hoping to find something a little more economic.[320.00] They do have a glass pc. Ibelieve to replace front roll pan and bumper but without the matching rear I would rather stick with stock steel and chrome. All ideas and info appreciated. Thanks.

You need to look for a chrome plater, perhaps in the yellow pages, or on a business search on the web. They will fix the dent, and rechrome the bumper. Look for "bumper plater", "chrome plater". Theres got to be someone in the area doing it. Try calling a local bodyshop and ask where they send their bumpers for repair. Good luck!

I remember those good old days when body shops sent bumpers out to be repaired and plated. There's not many places that do it now. Most bumpers are plastic over a cheap to replace frame. Pay the $320 and get a new one. It'll cost that much to get it repaired if you can find someone to do it.

I admit there isn't a lot of modern vehicles, other than a few trucks that have chrome bumpers. Here in Vancouver, there are two bumper platers, and they are always busy. There prices are not bad either. They also replate emblems, grilles, mouldings, etc.

thanks guys for the input, so much for economic street rodding eh? LOL. I think I'll look for a matching glass rear or go for the strip, straighten and paint route..hmmm..decisions..decisions. thanks.
