Thread: Center Console help on 57 Chevy!!

i have a 57 chevy 150 2door. ive finished everything on the car except the interior because i havent figured out exactly what i want yet. here is my ?. is there any vehicles that have a center console that will fit into a 57 chevy (with bucket seats) without having to modify the console much. looking for either a direct drop in, or a slight modification type. because couple years ago i had a 89 mustang lx. and i took a console out of a late model caddy and with a little modification it dropped right in, and allowed me to have cupholders and other goodies.
so i wanted to know if anyone on here knows of a specific vehicle or truck that has a console that fits and looks nice. so i dont have to have a whole centerconsole madeup from scratch.

any info is appreciated.

Depending on the trans--I have used a console from a 66 Chevelle in a 57 with a 4 speed and worked real well. With automatic, 3rd generation Camaro fit pretty well in a 56 wagon with B/M shifter. Will need a little cutting but will almost bolt up to the bottom contour of the dash.

sorry forgot to mention what trans. its a 700r4 with a b&m shifter.
