65 Chevy II small block install

I am thinking about putting a 327 or 350 small block in my car. I need to talk to someone who has performed this task and what mods and changes I will run into. Help on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks

The '65 Chevy II had a 327 as an option. You can do it with stock parts.

    Check this page:

    Or this:

You can buy headers Hedman or Hooker, or just about anyone who makes headers.

As Henry says, its a bolt in they came from the factory with V-8s starting in 1964. You can find mounts from an existiing V-8 car or use some of the links provided. You will need to put a bigger radiator in and find a V-8 shroud to help cool it. I suggest upgrading the brakes as well. If you don't get too crazy, the stock rear end will hold up, if not, you may find a 12 bolt from a 66 or 67 Nova. The 12 bolt from a Camaro is only about a 1.5 inches wider and you can adjust for that with wheel offset.

One more thing, the oil pan. The stock V-8 oil pan was a front sump, a much better option is a custom pan from someone like Moroso

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Th oil pan is the worst part of that swap! It hits everything! I've got a disc brake set up for a chevy II if you are interrested????

    Disc Brakes

I'm interested in the disc brakes if they are reasonably priced.
