2 speed Powerglide to a 4 spd. man.

I have a '53 Chev 2 dr bel air with a 350 engine and a 2 speed powerglide trans. I am looking to pull the powerglide for a 4 speed man. trans but not sure what to swap in.

If I was going to run auto I would put a th350 in, I also plan to supercharge the 350 engine in the future some time, or maybe stroke it out. Any suggestions on a man. trans.?

Depends on what you want to do with the car, drag racing or cruising. A Super T-10 is still one of the best 4 speeds for a GM putting out some major power. If you are going cruising, no big slicks and monster horsepower, than you might want to consider one of the late model GM 5 or 6 speeds for the overdrive.

I would like to mainly use it for cruising, but my family is very competative so it will be taken to the track a few times to race my brother or dad and their hot rods. So I think I am going to look into a Super T-10 thanks!
