Turbo muffler
First let me start off by saying that I do not have a hot rod. I have an 88' Ford bronco II. I need a good turbo muffler that is loud and powerful. I am thinking about the Thrush Turbo muffler. I can't upgrade to bigger exhaust pipe. It has 1 3/4" pipe now. The truck is equipped with a 2.9L fuel injected v6 and has a 5 speed standard. Even though it is small, it has plenty of low end torque and a surprising amount of power for it's size.I want to know if anyone has, or has used Thrush turbo mufflers. Thanks.>: )

Get a reducer\ inlarger and use a 2" Thrush Turbo, I bought 1 for my '67 Ford Falcon with a 200 I6 but, I have yet to get the old stuff out as I have to replace the tailpipe also, the muffler is just for fun, the stock is fine and leak free but, it's too weedy. Those Ford 2.9 V6's are nice strong engines that run forever but, they don't exzactly have a nice sound, the turbo might dress it up a little though. My brother had a '90 Ranger with the 2.9 and an A4LD automatic, he cooked the trans ( used the wrong trans fluid in it, then took it right out off roading afterwords, reverse never worked again ) I was thinking about buying the engine as it ran great for a project but, finding the trans for it would be expensive so, I didn't buy it.You don't know what you've got til it's gone

I am going to buy the Thrush. I know my engine runs perfect and the tranny works without a hitch. I bought the truck for $700 and I love it. I want my truck to be heard before it's seen. That's why I am getting the Thrush. The lack of a resonator will make it slightly louder as well.>: )
And a Happy Birthday Wish for Mr. Spears. Hope you can have a great one. :)
