mODIFICATIONS TO ROADSTER PICKUP DOORS TO MOUNT SPEAKERS

Everbody has installed speakers before, and there isn't much magic involved. This was a bit different, because I didn't want to depend on the upholstery panel to support the speaker, and I wanted to keep the speaker down low enough in the door to give it some protection from rain. (yes, it does rain on roadsters).
There was no metal in the area where I wanted the speakers to go, so I used up some of the scraps of #14 ga. sheet metal that were left over from building the bed. The peices were cut to size with my trusty sabre saw, and mig welded into the doors. Now I am ready to go ahead and finish the patterns that I made earlier this week for the door panels.
