    Tailgate Problem

I recently bought a truck with a stainless steel protector over the top of the tail gate. The only signficant rust on the machine was right under the protector.

I took it off and found the problem. There was a foam rubber strip that fit between the top of the tailgate and the protector. It had wicked water and caused the rust problem.

These are still additions, but if you use on make sure to seal the ends.

welcome, you come with good advice. most of the add-ons are an open door for moisture and rust over time. i personally keep my pickup personalized and unique by not adding anything to it
