Why not use an AMC V8. I know they made V8 gremlins. A SBC probably wouldn't be a ton of work, if you have some fab skills, but I would think an AMC V8 and tranny would be a fairy straight kinda job and all the parts should be readily available.

Pull a AMC V8 from a late 70s Jeep and you'll save a ton of money and heacaches.

Gremlin and SBC! Can I help? Use it,Parts are cheap and most importantly they are available anywhere. Either way you're going to have some fab time involved. I checked out some sources here and I couldn't find any info on this swap. All I heard was cool. Do it, Do it. MF
