    Tyres help needed

    Hi all,

Again, looking for a bit of advice, this time its tyres,

Could someone recommand tyres for a 79 camaro? I was looking for a bigger at the back look.

    Oh,

I still havnt sorted that water floor problem, I removed the dash to have a look, but couldnt see the pipe every one was talking about, I have to reseal the windscreen this weekend and take it from there.

    Thanks for all the help

    Niall

    Thanks for the advice

The current tyres are 215/75/14R, But them far too narrow at the back , Think a 235 or 245 will do.

I would go with the same size tires all around. It will save you a lot of money being able to rotate your tires. I would also get that leak fixed first, it's likely your heater core and the repair can be expensive if you have a shop do it. My sister's 83 mustang had a heater core leak and we were quoted over $700 not including parts to get it fixed. The dash has to be partially removed and that is very time consuming. Some shops have developed special techniques and do it for around $100 including parts now so don't forget to look around.

touch the wet spot and then touch the tip of your tongue. If it tastes sweet its antifreeze, if it doesnt it's water. Spit it out, don't swallow it.
Your camaro probably just has a nipple about an inch long, no hose, on the lower left side of the underhood heater shroud . Take a screwdriver and gently clean out the hole.
