    Wink spittin fire

    Alright kids,
I want, no, need to shoot flames! From what I understand, All I need is a couple coils, plugs, wires, and thats it. I'm runnin a chebby 350 with manual choke. and i know I'm losing enough gas outa the pipes to light something. Is there any drawbacks to this simple thrower? Any cheap alternatives? I'm working on a budget here (but aren't we all?). Thanks for your input.

I was wondering how you set up plugs in the ends of the exhaust to spark on demand also, I'd kind of like to do it.
How would you make something fire a plug in bursts on demand without a distributor to tell it when to fire. Also, how is it set up without interfering with the real ignition system?

    Check this site.

They have flamethrower kits real cheap.

Remember though, that when you use them, they kill the ignition so that raw fuel dumps through your cylinders.

This fuel washing the cylinder walls can cause accelerated engine wear.

plumb propane into the tailpipe a foot or so from the end...use NOS solenoids to make a safety mech...

raw gas messes up ya motor eventually.. i'd rather go gas...

i rigged up a couple of turn signal relays from a Land Rover Freelander with a couple of capacitors to activate a regular intermittent spark....that way they also pulse your coil to make it work properly...

Kustom OZ check this site out, and while your there check out the flmae thrower of the month, which is your very own Kustom56Merc. Me Kits run for $80 and they work great, alll you need is two coils, two spark plugs, and wires for a dual exhaust.

Those flaming "idiots" go thru a lot of engines because of the raw gas and male testosterone. A good friend of my has a flaming 54 ford so I have seen a lot of bad things happen. Ask some of the flamers about their setups so u can know what not to do.

I was thinking of having a spark plug in the tailpipe just to light off what fuel is left in the exhaust, not to use the type that disables the ignition.
If you pump the gas pedal a little doesn't it richen it up enough to send some good fuel out the pipe that can be lit?

Don't just put a spark plug in the pipe, you need some relays. The safest way is to get a kit! Some cheap kits will destroy your engine, I had one destroyed. Then I found the spit fire kits, not bad. Happy Flamin'
