kingpins
Just had new bushings pressed into my 48 Ford spindles and now the new kingpins seem to tight to install. Can I hone the bushings myself or is this a job for a machine shop? thanks!

Thats a machine shop job-----it costs a lot to buy the special guided reamer. I took mine to the local machine shop, they removed the old bushings, pressed in the new ones, and reamed them to the correct size for $65---and thats in Canada where everything costs twice as much.Old guy hot rodder

You can rent the reamer and do it yourself, but would probably only save $20 or so,,,it's easier to take it down to your local machine shop like brian say's."I don't know everything and i like it that way"
