    classic instr. tach hookup?

My classic instruments tach says there could be problems if the tach signal is connected using the tach output on an MSD.

Does anyone have a classic instruments gauge and know if this is true or not. I have to break in a cam tomorrow and don't want to have problems that will force me to shut down.

Also, does an MSD tach output have a filter too?
