mustang E brake cable hook up??

does anyone know what is supposed to hook onto the emergency brake cables coming out of ford 9" axle drums?
My cables have a steel, or maybe it's lead, ball on the end of the cable. Am I gonna have to make something to connect to this, or
    is there an actual part?

if you buy the E-Brake cable kit for your exact car it should have the hook ups allready attatched. If you still have the original cable coming from the pedal and it doesnt have hook ups still attatched, they may have come off. And last but not least, if thats not the original rear-end, you may have to get a little creative with the cables from the type of car that the rear end came out of.

I have a rear out of a mustang in my chevy truck. All the linkage and everything is still intact and working properly, I just don't know what is supposed to connect to those balls on the ends of the cables.
I guess I may just have to make something.

those balls hook up to an equalizer bracket> one ball on each end and the cable from the inside e brake to the center with the long adjusting bolt end. check out older ford products at the bone yard, cars, pickups, ets, have your measurements, you might have to use extender cables some products used them retired ford engineer
