    77 Monte Carlo Vinly Top?

     



    Mine is all ate up with tear and the outter thing is rusted. Where can i find one of these? could i take it off and there be metal and make it like that? Just have the metal and the little window on the side. Thanks in advance

    Any competent upholstery shop can recover the top in any color you want. If they only install ready made vinyl roofs, then the aren't a competent shop anyhow!!!!

    You can strip everything off and paint the metal underneath. The only trick part is that if there are holes drilled in the roof to hold the vinyl top surround strip, they will have to be sealed to keep water out of the interior (dab of silicone after painting will work)

    so there is metal underneath.. THANKS MAN! i needed to know that a lot.. i would say it would make it look a lot better without it. thanks for all the info guys
