    struts or shocks..

im in the process of building a racecar and im stuck. the front end is equipped with struts. one person told me that they wouldn't work because there is no way to adjust the caster and camber. but another person told me that all you had to do was adjust the strut tower left, right, front, back. is this possible and who do i believe.

look at the top of the strut tower. most of them came from the factory with a camber adj. the caster was stationary. some you could adj. both of them. look at the top of the tower, if the bearing plate bolts can be moved its adj. i have drilled new holes and moved the strut over to where i wanted it.

There has to be an adjustment. Either by adjusting at the tower on top or the control arms on the bottom. Are you talking about factory struts?

Here's a caster/camber plate installation on a Mustang. Do a search for plates for the Firebird.....

What type of race car? If your drag racing, factory specs should be fine unless you plan to go FAST fast. Circle track would be a different story altogether.

i dont think so but my only other option would be to cut the front end off and put new on and i would perfer to find a way around that if possible.

they are some what adjustable to like 1-2 degrees but thats not enough....struts wont work around a circle track.....when you bend an a frame fine just get another one......on a strut every every thing gets messed up and you will hit the wall at sum point in time......new front clip......over the long haul its cheaper and the bolt pattern is to small so we have to change the hubs any ways why not overhaul the whole damn thing

    4,5 35 sucks
