Keep in mind that emissions laws vary from state to state, and most states now have them. Many require emissions testing for vehicles over a certain age. Usually it is ten years, which makes your car a prime candidate.
Often these tests are pretty harsh. It may be best to look at your local laws before hand. If their emissions standards are tough, you may consider having your exhaust professionally done. Many shops now, including the (dare I say it ) import shops specialize in exhaust systems that will keep you legal and still provide as much performance as possible.
Whatever you decide to do, take your time. Exhaust systems can be tricky to do yourself. If you have some buddies to help out, that's even better.
Do you have access to a pipe bender?
Do you have access to a lift or pit to work under your car?
These two things can make a WORLD of difference. You can work without them, as I've had to do many a time, but they do make life easier.
Or just trade your 93 Camaro in for a 67 Camaro and register it as an antique so you can do whatever you want without the stupid emissions lawsAuto electrical systems were designed by the people who make headache medicine!

Emissions testing is BS. Here in Ontario my buddy Ash put dual exhaust with cherry bombs on his '90 chev 305 TBI, with no cat, and did emissions testing on it at Canadore College just for fun and it passed. Best bet might be to take it to a shop, have them bend up pipes and take them home and put them on yourself. Most reputable places will want to do a legal job of things.
