    Question Steering column wiring.

I have a Chevy steering Column and I'm rewiring the car at this time. Is there any way to bypass the white wire in the column for the brake light switch? All the other wires are there, but it seems like the white wire is broke off somewhere in the column. The column is welded in and painted so I can't change it out. I just want the brake light switch to work. Thanks for any assistance!

    Smile steering column

Thanks, I tried that can't see a white wire under the steering wheel. I'm going to cut a hole in the bottom of the column to see if I can find it. I will just cover the column when I'm done. I just thought I could bypass it some how.

    Thumbs up steering column

OK, I tore the signal switch out of the column and found the white wire. It was broke off about 8 inches down the column. Took a wire and fished the new wire and soldered the old to the new and made the repair. Thanks for the info and assistance!!
