    Motor in a 56'Ford Fairlane

     



    Me and my dad recently started restoring a 56' Ford Fairlane and we are wondering what engines originally came in the Car were pretty sure its either a 292T-Bird or a 350T-Bird its got a Down-Draft 4 barrel carberator

    Ok were pretty sure its a 292 but we was wanting to get some reference to the motor runs transmission been rebuilt..

    Wow, techinspector did get carried away. His reference site of www.ford-y-block.com is the first one you should visit. If your motor is stock you have a Tea Pot carb and loadomatic distributor. For increased performance you would upgrade the manifold, carb and distributor.

    Well my dad wants the car to really pickup and run the guy we bought it off of has had the car ever since my dad was little so the car is a little rough the most work is prolly gonna be in the interior we've heard the car run and the mufflers are'nt very loud so they are getting ready to be changed and new headers put on

    Here is a pic of the engine its gonna be took out and painted since its already been rebuilt the car hasnt been drove since the engine was redone and the transmission was rebuilt at the same time..
