    Convertible Top Vendor needed

    HELP!

I have a 1937 Club Cabriolet (Gibbon Body) with a folding top; what I desperately need is a vendor for the convertible top kit. The frame is there but my upholstery guy says he can't find the correct top kit.

Please help if you have one of these cars and know where you got the top kit or if you know of a supplier.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Charlie

They won't do it. Say they have never done a Gibbon 37 Ford and therefore won't guarantee it to fit. ($1,000 gamble)

Anyone have another source? If not, going the custom route.

    Thanks,
    Charlie

That doesn't make sense. I looked at the chart for models their kits will fit:

    http://www.lebaronbonney.com/fm_plist.htm

The part number says 760-B is for the 1937 Ford Club Cabriolet. I wonder why it won't fit a Gibbons car????

    Top for Gibbon Body

Call Gibbon and ask them if their top set up is the same as a stocker. If so, then the Labarron Bonny top should fit.

Gibbon is missing in action (another thread).

I did call the guys that made the top irons (Girtz) for Gibbon and they said the top is chopped 3"; that is probably where the problem lies.

Anyway, off to find a custom top maker! Seems to be the only way to get it done.
