lokar throttle cable, need help
i bought a lokar braided throttle cable, and i need to cut the braided housing, but every time i try it , it frays really bad, i tried taping it,did not work, there is a aluminum sleeve that has to go back over the braided housing after you cut it to the length you need it,
has any one had any luck cutting lokars braided throttle cable housing? if so i would like to know how they did it.. thanks for all your help

Stainless braid needs to be cut with an abrasive wheel.
A Dremel wheel works and so does a chop saw.
Tape the stainless with several layers of masking tape prior to cutting and cut right through tape & all.
If you're cutting the braid only and it's not supported by an internal hose or plastic hose, use something like a wooden dowel to support it and cut the dowel along with the braided.C9
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
