The R.O.D.E
Has anyone ever used this or had any experience with it? It is supposedly a unit that protects your paint and body on your car from rust and corrosion. RODE means "Reduces Oxidation Destructive Electronically) and it is supposed to run off any 12 V system. Says that a DC voltage is pulsated through all metal surfaces on your car and it forms a field fluids of ions....
Was just wondering about it and I am pretty sure it's a pretty old unit. (10 years old maybe)?
Thanks!www.streamlineautocare.com

That device is a bogus attempt to apply a corrosion prevention method called "cathodic protection" on an automobile. In order to work, CP requires a good electrical circuit with the earth. Therefore, it works very well on buried objects like pipelines, building foundation piles and buried water tanks. It also works very well with objects in the ocean, such as ships, steel pilings and drilling platforms. Traditional CP with anodes or impressed current does not work well (if at all) on automobiles.Last edited by Henry Rifle; 08-03-2005 at 11:44 AM.

Experience is always a good thing to have....I'd hate like heck to that engine of yours purring along nicely, only to have it go ca-put on me half-way through the trip....
And as far as this air-freshener choice...I got you one even better than those...Pina Colada...I thought it went well with the "Cabana Boy" theme....

Ok... Thanks for the info Brian, Twitch and Henry. I figured it was a gimick. Was in a paint book I had that shows you how to paint and it showed it in there saying that some people think it works but didn't say nothing really. Kinda like they didn't care.www.streamlineautocare.com

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
