They make a plastic bolt pattern with most bolt centers an spacing, check your auto parts house they might have them, only cost a buck or two, but worth it.

I picked up some old wheels today and put the rear ones on. I was wondering if I'll be able to go wider than this and not have problems. The pic from the inside to the bed side is pretty clear, I have a good inch to the innermost part of the tire. The outter side is tough to tell from the pic, but there is also an inch from the innermost fender to the tire.

Do you guys think I could go wider, or I shouldn't push it?

From my perspective, it looks just about right. As to the first picture, I would say you are where you want to be. I don't remember what rear suspension you are running, leafs or four link. If you are running a pan-hard rod, it will keep it centered....I think you are...... That last pic looks like the tires come out of the wheel wells a little bit. Do you have a picture from standing back and looking at it a little? If you want wider, all you have to do is cut your bed.....more backspacing......bigger tires........you could go whichever direction you want. I myself just couldn't fit what I wanted and how I wanted it. I like my tires tucked in the fenders and wide, but without going overboard. I had to cut the bed. I think you are right about there though.

I've got a tri 4 link in the back.
I figured maybe the inside should stay where it is so that when it goes up on edge and tilts it wouldn't rub, I thought maybe I could sneak a little more in on the outside though, because that side will tilt the other way.
Here's a shot from a reasonable perspective to get a look at it.
I kind of wanted the look where the tires were as close to the fender as possible without hitting. It seems like I could get more in there, but maybe tires don't even come in increments small enough to fine tune it like that.
These are 215/70 R15

One other thing, since I have fender well headers, there is a point where the tire can hit the header pipe.
I obviously need some sort of a limiting device so I don't toast my
tires on the pipes by accident.
What is the best way to set up stops for a mustang II front?
