nice safety item
Last nite I heard about a blk box that alows you to use your headlights as day time driving lites by reducing the output to 40%.
If anyone knows where to buy this item please lets us know. One of the guys said J C Whitney, but I did not see it in their cat.Don Meyer, PhD-Mech Engr(48 GMC Trk/chopped/cab extended/caddy fins & a GM converted Rolls Royce Silver Shadow).

Although insignificant on an individual basis, the increased fuel consumption caused if all new cars were required to have daytime running lights would be over 1 million gallons of fuel anually?

PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Actually, there is no proof that DRL's do anything for safety. This is also true of the CHMSL (Central High Mounted Stop Lamp). Either people are paying attention or they are not. If there was a way to document this, I'd bet that, because of the glare to on-coming drivers on sunny afternoons, that these actually have caused more accidents than they've helped to avoid.---Tom

Everything I got have dtrl's on them and if they didn't, I would put them on. It makes it a lot easer for someone to see you coming down the road in the day time.Mike

A much bigger impact is people driving 10+ mph over the speed limit or running A/C all the time. I am a big believer in the running lights, we have some two lane roads that are known as blood alleys for all the people killed on them, I think the lights help safety wise.

Getting closer on this project. What a lot of work!
