    Car Body Weights

     



    Is there a web site that gives diffrent weights of vehicles.
    I was curious what the weight of the body on our 1938 two door business coupe.
    Does anyone know?

    Do a google search for "curb weight 1938 Chevrolet coupe"

    www.carnut.com, find 1938 Chevy in index of pics, then at the top, click general specs, curb weight is in there

    Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but I read that you want just the body weight, not a 'whole' car weight. If this is right, take your empty trailer to to a truck scale and record the measurement. Then load the bare body on the trailer and reweigh it. I don't think you'll find bare shell weights listed, even on the net.

    You are correct I was just wanting the body weight, but I appreciate the carnut site. I thought of taking it to the scales I was just throwing this out here just in case someone else has done this.

    I might be stuck to loading it.
