You can build a sunken cowl with a false cowl on top of it and be able to use the stock glass. Go here and scroll down to the Roof Chop Process. Hope this helps

When I chopped my '50 Studebaker http://www.angelfire.com/super/1950bulletnose I chose to keep the rear curved glass by removing the window frame, chopping the top, then rewelding the frame back in. Originally the rear window looked small in the stock roof height, but now looks more in proportion to the rest of the windows. All the other glass in the car is flat and I should have no problem getting pieces cut, fingers crossed. As for Lexan, it's pretty much illegal no matter where you live.Last edited by 1950bulletnose; 10-16-2005 at 05:22 PM.
On my 76 Corvette I placed them on the left inner fenderwell, made for a short access to the alternator.
