The woodie would work with some modification. The Cabrio windshield frame tapers to the top, the wagon is pretty much "straight up".

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

And here's what the wagon looks like. Besides, you should build a roadster, they're way cooler.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Not yet Michael, though the color is similar. Mines a roadster rather than a cabrio, and I'll be putting on a black top. The car is coming along slowly as I've been taking advantage of the incredible weather we've been having to get the outside work on the house done. Some day you'll understand that better. For now, enjoy the freedom of your youth.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Pretty much assembly, upholstery, and top. There are a few pieces not yet painted but nothing that will stop most progress once I get back on it.
Looks like our originator, Bill, grabbed his info last night and then split. Gotta love gratitude!Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Guys
I am not trying to be rude but had a busy weekend, burning the candle from both ends. My son and I brought the 36 home this weekend, the car was an old race car,no windsheild posts, cowl finished flush, original frame, front, rear end. This car is duable,no rusted thru areas body is decent, would post pics when I learn how to. Any suggestions on the 36 I will read and listen. It is really hectic my wifes daily driver is in progress also,41 willys pick up that will has a 425 nail head engine, xke jag rear, mustang II and body work is in progress,No rudeness here just an old gray beard gear head.Bill Menne

Bill,
I have a 37 Ford, and I made my own frame (which is the same as yours). If you decide that you want to tackle this I will send you the drawings.
