I just got a 71 ventura that I would like to know some info on.
I have searched all over the web and cant find anywhere to get this info.
Im hoping you all can help me.
Heres the Vin off the Dash: 213271w225542
And heres the numbers off the firewall plate:
ST 71 21427WRN712014
TR 793 11 B PNT
03C A 3 0182

If anyone can help I will appreciate it.

27 = 2-Dr sedan
1 = 1971
W = Willow Run, MI Assembly Plant
225542 = Squential Build Number

ST 71 = 1971
21427 = Pontiac Ventura V-8 2-Dr Sedan
WRN = Willow Run
712014 = Body Sequence Number (starts at 100001)
TR 793 = ???
PNT 11 B = Antique White?
03C = Build Date (March, Third Week)

WARNING: Nova (and Ventura) cowl tags have been known to be incorrect when determining original engine. Many tags were stamped for a V8 even though a 4 or 6 cylinder was installed. The VIN will ALWAYS override the cowl tag when there is a discrepancy between the two.
