I have a 1950 gmc long bed I am swapping to an S 10 frame. I will be converting the truck to short box. Any idea what S 10 frame I need? and will I need shorter running boards?

I have no experience in this frame swap. However, after searching the web, here are a couple of sites that might help.

Width:

31" wide from front to just under the firewall.
40" wide from just under the firewall to the rear.
