    Rag joint alternatives

     



    I tried my first fitment session last night for my LS1 into Studebaker. I have some mount issues to deal with, but the motor is sitting close to it's final destination. To gain some clearance for exhaust I would like to replace the rag joint in the steering with something more compact. Any suggestions? I would like to find a direct replacement if possible. Check the picture below for a visual

    Take a look at the Borgeson U-joint. They even make one with a vibration reducer to remove some of the road feel from the steering sheel.

    You'll probably have to do a little work on the bottom of the column shaft, but here're some alternatives;
