    Cooling fan

I have been checking on the use of a cooling fan from a Lincoln MKVIII. I understand that they are two speed / three wire, and will put out around 4300 CFM.
I was going to use two cooling fans. My computer is set up to operate two fans, one controlled by engine temp and the other would kick on when the A/C is turned on or if the engine reaches extreme temps.
I am wondering if the computer would operate the single two speed in somewhat the same way, with the low speed working by engine temp and the second relay kicking in the high speed when the A/C is on or during higher operating temps. This is to be used with a tune port 383 Stroker and GM. computer. The computer and wiring harness have already been modified to use two fans with two relays. Anyone had any experiences with this set-up? I am wondering if when the second relay kicks in, what will happen if the first relay stays in also?
    Thanks, Ed

I think as long as the voltage has somewhere to go (being used to power the fan) it'll be alright to have two sources powering the same fan, but I've never used that particular fan before so if I were you I'd mock something up outside of the car & see what happens.
The relay for my fan has the thermo sensor & the A.C. over ride switch like yours, most aftermarket setups have this. I ran the A.C. over ride wire to a toggle switch so I can manually turn on the fan & it works fine, I'm sure the thermo sensor is sending voltage to the fan at the same time, but then again I've got a single speed fan.

if you use your set up you'll need 2 fans. if you use the ford fan then you will need the module to go with the ford fan if you want the hi and low to work. something has to cancel out the low speed when you cut the AC on. i use that fan because it pulls a lot of air. if IM not using the AC then the temp. sender cuts it on and if IM using the AC the AC cuts it on. i use the hi speed in the summer and i change it to low speed in the winter.
