    with engine plates and mid plates some guy run a bar from the frame to the engine mount boss to keep the engine from moving back and forth with engine plates is this what you mean ? this needs to be at a angle to work mounted back on the frame and moving at a angle to the engine you can use heim ends for this and thread steel or moly tube

    It should be Cat, as long as the travel limiters prevent the engine from moving back and forth and cracking the aluminum front plate. If you mount them low on the block, make sure you leave yourself header and starter clearance would be the only thing.
