    new wiring

hey guys, i want to redo the wiring in my van. my harness is still ok, but all the other wires is destroyed. im looking at a universal 12 cicuit from painless, will that do the trick? i dont know a damn thing about wire systems, is it an easy installation like evryone says it is? i want to replace the , brake, headlights, dash, radio, and inside lights and taillights, this should do it right? also, how do i know how many volts i have in my van, and all the details? any tips will help alot. thanks

They should have a list of circuits for that kit,but im pretty sure a 12 circuit will do just fine for a stock replacement,as far as volts go you should have a 12 volt system ,ive never seen a 6 volt system after the 50s . I opted for the 20 circuit kit just in case i want to ad on later, that way i only have to do it once

The one thing holding me back from a new wiring harness on my stocker '50 Packard is the dash rewire. Ouch! When you're over 50 your body don't bend that way anymore. The rest is simple and accessable. The dashes are the tough part unless you can pop them out into your lap and go from there. Illuminating the dash back and not needing reading glasses for close up is a big plus
There is no substitute for cubic inches
