I own a 62 ford galaxie xl boxtop that is in excellent condition.I stripped the car to bare metal and found no bondo and only a little rust.I want to customize this car by swapping the boxtop roof(I hate it) with a 61 starliner bubbletop roof or any of the 61 bubbletops (buick, pontiac olds 0 all had bubbletops. How do i find out the dimensions on the other cars without actually seeing the car?Is there a m,anual that would give me this info? mike

why not makr your own bubble top roof out of fiberglass, you know the basic visual look, you could just get measurments, make a mold out of wood and go from there. you would just need compleatly custom windshields ( front and back ) but even with the swap you would need that anyway.

Mike, it's a good plan I think. You might want to check to link on the post about Gene Winfield's Caddy on this forum. He did a roof swap on that one and the results are fantastic!!!

Don't know of any reference material with the dimensions you are after. Might as well be prepared to get out the tape measure, or find someone (internet maybe?) who has such a car and see if he would get you some measurements.
