    electrical

i need advise from people who have done total electrical restoration. i have a 74 chevy van, and im in the process of replacing the electrical system, im looking into buy a painless universal 12 circuit harness, and a painless 12 circuit fuse block. what else would i need? to day i destroyed the dash. i removed the meters, the fuse box and the harness. i ripped out almost everything under the dash, took out the old air conditioning hoses, radio, air/heating switches. the only things still connected are the steering column, and the air conditioning core. i also took out the ignition , so what do i need? basically redoing everything electrical, i need as much help as i get on this one, i have no clue on this stuff. also im getting a universal gauge harness, and i need a light kit, too. i need tons of help.

The harness will come with directions. I usually start by separating all the wires and grouping them by where they go in the car. Rear of car wires, front of car wires, engine wires, and under dash wires. All the wires are labeled as to what they connect to in the car. Get all the wires routed and secured properly, then make your connections.
