I checked with local auto parts store (Advanced Auto parts)(the equivalent of Auto Zone and they had a tank for my 55 chevy car. They wanted 200 bucks for it. I told them i found one in a magazine for 150 and the guy said OK. I really could not believe that they were able to get it. You need to replace the Sending unit at the same time Mine was about 75 bucks, which i havn't put in yet, got to take the tank back out for that.
