Opinions wanted
My husband and I bought a project car which is turning out to be more of a project than we had originally anticipated. Sound familiar anyone? LOL!

What was your original plan with the car and what barriers are jumping in your path that are making you think it will never get done??

Either sell it, part it out, or just start on it. If you like this car, build it. If you don't, shop around and find what you really do want. I've found that if it is what I really want, the time and money have a way of working themselves out.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

What is the ultimate goal? was your dream an all steel no rust no bondo concours winning restoration? If so, get another car.
I you want a fun project, and the expereince that goes with it, you can fix the rust (mechanical cleaning - wire brush, sanb blasting) and then use POR-15 to stop further rusting, and then put in metal and cover the sins with bondo, paint it up and it'll look just fine - only YOU will know!
you could pay for any part of that process, and the sky is the limit on cost. DIY, including painting materials, under $400.
without repair, teh car has little resale value.
Me? I think i'd go ahead and fix it, or else chock up the cost to 'education' and junk it.
Do you see a 3rd choice?
BTW, ALL cars are worse than they look by the time you get 'em apart.Chris

Thanks for the feedback everyone. We are going to part it out and look for a nicer one. Might as well spend the bucks for a nice GS that is driveable and start saving money to pro-street it someday in the future. How much???!!! :::::thud:::::
Thank you Roger. .
