My 1940 Packard has a late 70's Firebird subframe in it, and the front wheels set to the rear of the center of the wheel arches. Looks like it will need some other subframe (preferrably GM) to correct the problem. (I didn't do the work ) Apparantly whoever did the subframe neglected to measure the original wheelbase of the Packard before he started cutting. Got to correct this somehow, even if it is necessary to cut it off and start over. The steering box on this unit is right up against the back of the front fender, so there is no room to set this subframe further forward. Any advice will be greately appreciated.
