    Trans Question

Hi, I'm a newbie here. I have a 57 Chevy 210. I have a 283 in it right now but I'm planning on putting an LT1 into it. The car has the original 3 speed manual trainy in it, I want to put a 4 or 5 speed in. but have no Idea what trans to use. Any suggestions or alternatives would be helpfull. Thanx

late model camaros could be had with a 6 speed...
vette's too, if you can find one in a bone yard

new, a 6 speed may run you $1700 or more.

Are you going to try and keep it on 'the tree'? 6 on the tree would be kinda cool!
