Depends completly on the engine really... My El Camino with 350ci engine runs about 190Degrees... but I think thats high because I have a broken fan clutch so the fan doesnt spin properly...
In my moms 2.0 4 cylinder Fuel Injection it runs at about 130Degrees

180-195 are best for our older engines. Higher temperatures translate to less cylinder wall wear. Most modern engines run at 210, but 180 has always been the standard for our older engines.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
