    48-52 F-1 on an S-10 frame.

A few members have PM'd me about my website on the S-10 frame swap. They want the web address, so here it is...

    www.geocities.com/lakota_circle_dancer/swap1

The blue underline hides the underscores. There are underscores ( shift/dash, looks like this _ ), between lakota_circle_dancer.

    Thanks,

    Lakota

    Nice site Walt.

I've followed your progress since you joined the site, and like what your doing with the old truck.

I've always had a soft spot for the 51-2 Ford trucks. I've built 3 over the years, A 51 F1 with a Volare front suspension, 302/C4 and 9", A 51 COE F6 with a 440 Chrysler, 727 and Hone OD, and my favorite (the first one I did) a 52 F6 conventional cab with a 402 Chevy big block, Offy tranny adaptor with the original non-syncro 4 speed and 2 speed rear end. They have since all gone to new homes.

One of the interesting things I found out when I was building them is that the cab (and doors) are identical/interchangable all the way from the F1 through F6 on the conventional cabs.

    Thanks for posting your link,

Just remembered one of the little tricks I did on all 3 trucks.

I mounted a 12 Volt light (1156?) on a bracket behind the center section of the hood (where the V8 emblem is on the 52's), it would not only light up the hole in the nose of the hood (which was also painted white, but would also illuminate the grill. Looked really neat at night going down the road.
