    Hopper, it's beautiful.

Now, having said that, you know that I'm an old guy and I like what I like and I don't like the wheels. If it were mine, it would have steel slotted 'Vette rallys painted body color with caps and rings. Otherwise, I wouldn't change anything. Sorry, can't help it.

I agree, the wheels need to go. Now I don't mind 16" wheels because the tires will still be seen. Maybe a 16" X 7" Cragar S/S for the fronts and 16" X 8" for the rears.

I agree, i hate the wheels. Like, i said, id never leave home without a pair of 12 inch wide cragars on the back and a pair of 7 inch cragars on the front with some nice sticky mickeys.

erm, maybe i should clarify a little here...This isn't my el camino, this is the look at i am going for, i want to know what you guys think before i actually do something similar with mine...

My el camino looks much more like this pic here. Except mine is in grey primer. It's very basic and bland right now but its ready for a personality and im just trying to find the right one...That's why i said "be brutally honest". It's not my car, i just want to know what u think.

This one is in a little better shape as mine still has floor rust and a lot of just cleaning that needs to be done to it before its ready to start piecing back together. Sorry if my being not quite clear caused any problems...But please, be critical of the ORANGE ONE i want to know what other people think. I personally love the look of the ORANGE ONE and would like to get in touch with the guy that built it and find out what he used and where he got his parts...

I'm an old guy too, but rally wheels painted body color? I like the stance and the color fits on an elk. The wheels look good. 18 and 20's look good on the big cars. Stop looking to change it enjoy it.

I'm pretty much in agreement with everyone else, I hate wheels like these on a rod or muscle type car. Really hate them on a fenderless roadster or t bucket. Yuck!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so now print out pics of both cars, hang them on the wall in the shop and get to building!!!! You don't have to copy the pics when you build your Elky, but different pics of "the look" you want on the car will serve as a reference and a reminder while you are working on it. Also, they make for great motivation to keep on working when you'd rather be doing other things!!!!! Take your time, and do it right the first time.......JMO

I would put a set of 15 inch polished Torque Thrust II wheels on it. Better than Cragar SS's in my opinion but they look similar. Very nice car--I wouldn't change anything else.

I agree.....Torque thrust II. Also El C's are very color sensitive. There are a lot of colors that just do not look rite. on a El C.
